Remove the old adhesive on the frame before re-using.
Aluminium block screen frame should be treated to roughen by abrasive wheel and cleaned by solvent or Thinner (2938).
Mix Screenfix and Catalyst in a ratio of 10:1 by weight.
Ensure the two parts are mixed in the correct ratio, as lack of or excessive catalyst can lead to poor solvent resistance.
Ensure good contact between fabric and frame and that the adhesive has been worked thoroughly through the mesh openings onto the frame’s surface, especially when using finer mesh counts.
Allow the adhesive to dry for up to 30 minutes before cutting the frame out from the master stretcher. In cold and damp conditions and when stretching stainless steel or coarse meshes, extra time should be allowed.
Should be left to cure overnight before being exposed to strong solvent.
